Default Oil Change light?

I had my oil changed 600miles ago, but today I noticed when I turn my car on, the "Change Oil" light comes on. After about 30 seconds it goes back off. Any ideas to why this is happening?

Reset the light after you do an oil change. Turn the key to run, but don't start the engine, then hold the trip/oil reset button for 7 seconds and the oil change light should flash designating that it's been reset.

did you reset it? if you did you may need to do it again. The owners manual should have a section that explains how. If it's just a basic set up (no DIC) you turn the key on/with engine off, then press the accelerator to WOT 3 times within 5 seconds of the key being turned on. The light should flash for 5 seconds then go out if it reset. if you have a DIC you have to push the trip/oil reset button for 12 seconds. the light should start to flash to confirm that it has reset. the light will stop flashing when it's complete. then turn key off. this is the basics.
