New brakes 911!!!
Hey all i need some help here I'm stumped... Just swapped my old OEM brake pads on the truck for HAWK Performance ceramic pads. Install went nice and smooth no issues but after test drive my rear brakes feel like my e-brake is applied (it isn't). its to the point where i can feel it slowing me down specially if i let off the gas, after a ride around the block i pulled into the driveway and noticed my rear brakes smoking! I already tried re-adjusting the e-brake. Any ideas????????
These are the pads:

The rear brake pads appear to be the same as the ones for my old man's 04 Sierra.
He had similar problems when he replaced the brakes, when i took it a part i figured out that the pads were not sliding freely in the caliper, i ended up using a file and a bench grinder to grind down the ears on the backing plate of the rear brake pads until they moved freely within the caliper.
This solved all the problems, it sounds like this could be the same issue you are having, i just cant understand how the non oem pads can be sized differently

Did you change the rotors, also? Is this the type of parking brake mechanism you have on the truck? http://www.pbr.com.au/technology/parkbrakes.shtml
