the faq on this site? remember, this is an LS1 site, so the FAQ writer is assuming you have an LS1. just use whatever fuel is appropriate for you car, which on a 3.8L would be 87 octane.

Is bleeding the brake system required? Can I just put the fuel injector in the fuel port and call it a day?

bleeding the brakes? not to seafoam.
when you seafoam, you can do two different things. you can put a bottle in your gas tank just like any other fuel system cleaner, or you can put it in your vacuum system to clean the top end of the engine (i use half bottle for this). the easiest way to get it into the top end of the engine is to go through the brake booster vacuum line. you gotta do it slow so you dont stall out the car. since the 3.8L is a fly by wire TB, you cant blip the throttle from the engine bay to help stop it from stalling, so you might need an assistant to sit in the car.
