Default Top Ten Best Performance MODS?

Hello Everybody,

I was just wondering to get some of your input on what are some of your best performance Mods you have done to you car. Preferably 98-02 from everything to brakes, suspension, engine mods, drivertrain, makin it Hook-up, Stereo. Let me know maybe we can figure out what's more profitable and what to simply skip over.

Well if you're looking to drag race it, it'd be different than if you were looking to street race it, and that would be different than if you were looking to auto-x it, and that would be different if you were planning to daily drive it, and that would be different if you were looking to show it.

What is your ultimate goal?

Default My bad

Damn guys my bad for posting a general question in the general maintenance section. Won't happen again so chill.

To the guy who posted seriously. I was looking more towards auto-x or street. If there is possible overlap in those areas. Thanks for the reply head hunter

Exhaust, gears, shocks and springs, brakes need attention, tires, and fuzzy dice hanging from the mirror!

I was going with the 10 top of everything combined. If you want you can brake it down into category that's cool. But its awesome seeing some opinions come out. Thanks a lot guys.

My factory stock 1998 WS6 was boring after a awhile so I saved some money and dropped in a single fully built forged 427ci.............best single mod I ever did.

Made a huge difference, especially seat-of-the-pants feel.

That's an expensive single mod.

Well there's different ways to go - Best / $ spent or just Best Overall

Best / $ on the Auto is probably a stall followed by Gears, maybe Nitrous
Best Overall is probably a Fully Built LS7 Stroker

If I had unlimited money but could only buy 10 things to put on my car, I'd probably go about it like this:

1. Forged Stroked LS7
2. Fully Built 4L80E with 4000 stall converter
3. Built Moser 12 Bolt with 4.11's
4. BMR Level 2 Suspension Package
5. Subframe Connectors
6. 10-pt Cage
7. Strange Brake Package
8. QA1 Shocks
9. Steel driveshaft with DS Loop
10. Slicks
