Hit the junkyard. Just wondering. How does that cap housing actually go into the valve cover. I was trying to remove mine today to determine how much varnish I have and if running synthetic recently is helping out.

The filler tube screws into the valve cover just like the cap, but it's got a locking tab, so you have to remove the valve cover to try to unscrew it, even then you'll probably have to break that tab to take it out.
