Okay so I have a 1994 Trans Am and my key recently broke in half so I went to the dealership and got a new one. I went to put it in the ignition and and it fits and the door starts beeping but I go to turn it and the ignition will not turn at all. It acts as if the steering wheel is locked up. I've tried hitting the key while its in the ignition and moving the steering wheel while turning it but it will not budge. Someone told me it could be the ignition cylinder. I know absolutely nothing about ignitions so any help would be greatly appreciated.
