Default Tps bad?

Just wanted to do a check with yas but im pretty sure, well leaning toward the TPS being bad. This is what its doing at like 1/8 throttle the car sputters sounds like its on 5 cylinders. Then give it more throttle and it stops, voltage at idle was .67, but smooth for the most part opening the throttle voltage acted good. Then it threw a code and said TPS low voltage on my hp tuners. Then the code went away, then it was stuck at 18% open?? so i switched the battery off, reset computer, and it went back to how .. sputtering a little at light throttle. What yas think need new tps?

This is on my LS6 foxbody

Interested as well. My car is doing similar things but hasn't set a code yet though.

Sometimes its a bad TPS and sometimes its a wiring problem to the TPS. If you aren't in to tracing wires, you could just replace the TPS. Its an inexpensive part.

I have a new psi harness and was showing 5 volts so I'm going to double check ground and replace if that doesn't help

5 volts is correct. You'll want to read this before you go any further: http://www.wellsve.com/sft503/counterp_v2_i1_1998.pdf

Go to parts store
Buy new TPS sensor
Install it
If problem goes away........you're GOOD.
LOVE LIFE!!!!!!!

If problem does not go away
Re-Install old sensor
Take new TPS sensor back to parts store for a full refund. (((just tell them you could not get it to fit no matter what)))

Then get codes read for free while you're there.
