Default Air Conditioning Woes

Around springtime on hot days I noticed my AC was not getting very cool, now that its 90+ *F, my A/C is just blowing plain hot air. When I turn my engine on, and turn the controls to AC MAX and all the way cool, I can hear a click (I'm assuming this is the compressor). At this time I read perfectly fine low pressure line refrigerant levels ~35psi (when the car engine is off I read ~110psi). The silver cylinder (valve assembly? Not good with A/C terminology ) use to get condensation all over it, now its warm, even hot, to the touch.

Any help?

My refrigerant levels read fine though. Does this mean I need to get the current refrigerant out and put the new refrigerant in?

What are the pressures now? 110 static presssure above 90 degrees ambient is close to the starting point of at least 100. With compressor running and 96 degrees ambient low side should be 46-51 above 40% humidity.

Babbage1109: I HAVE done a search. Multiple now. Most everybody else's problems are from a leak in which their pressure is LOW or nonexistant and they just need to add refrigerant. My low pressure reading is fine, so I'm asking what to do now? If I add more refrigerant I'm just going to overpressure the system, no?

2001NBMZ28: I'm at about 35psi right now, a tad low, but is that low enough to blow completely hot air?

Also, the AC clutch is engaging and spinning under the hood.

Can't tell you for sure, don't have a PT chart for 134a. Here's what my helms says:

Ambient temp 96-105 40%+ humidity
Low side 46-51
High side 245-293
Maximum left center discharge air temp 75 degrees

35 PSIG on chart says it's for 66-75 degrees below 40% humidity (34-38).
