So my car all of a sudden started getting shitty, VERY shitty fuel mileage. Seems to be a little sluggish at times to.
Sometimes when im just cruising down the road at like 65 the car acts like it wants to surge? Idk it like loads up and jumps a little. Idk how to explain it lol thx for any advice.

Have you done a recent tune up? Start off with the small stuff like tire pressure, wires, plugs, and fuel filter. My car, 01 M6 Camaro with 3:42's, gets anywhere between 350-380. I have to baby it though. Autos might yield lower numbers.

Interesting I was just having this on my mind, also started to act a little weird (i think my clutch is starting to slip just a bit thou) But was curious on the MPG, finally babied it on this last tank and got about 280 out of it, mixed highway/city cruising at 70 and a few romps on that giddy up pedal. Is it an A4 or M6?
Solid that 350-380 is insane, I'd kill to see that out of my car. Best I ever got on my 97 V6 Camaro was only 340

The 350-380 to the tank is obtained during long highway drives up to Northern Cali and thats with me cruising at 75. When doing City/highway i would get around what your getting 290-320. You really need to baby these things to get the most out of the city mpgs but i cant complain with the highway results.

Oh ok, I kinda wondered but haven't tested it yet. That sounds like good numbers, in 2 weeks I'll be making my first long range trip so I'll have some numbers then. I still use skip shift, and either straight to 6th or 5-6 trying to preserve what I can. These can eat your wallet if you're not careful, noticed that real quick

Miles per tank is kind of a bullshit way to determine gas mileage. Did you fill the tank all the way or did it only need 3/4 tank, 1/2 tank?
Fill up, reset trip, drive, fill up again, do the math. Its the only way to guarantee anything. Having said that, if there are no codes than I'd be willing to bet my lousy salary that its your driving habits eating so much fuel.

clogged fuel filter
could be a clogged up fuel filter, n could be bad knock sensor, ya it should show up on the engine light. my buddy has a 04 gmc truck throwing his knock sensor and when it does he goes from upper teens in gas milage to 10 0r less and has no power. but hell how knows with all this computer controled stuff.

GM fuel gauges are all over the place. Calculate MPG to see how bad the problem really is...if there is one.
