My OE fuel pump is loud..

My OE fuel pump is loud.. Hey fellas, just recently i noticed on my way home a "ringing" sound coming from the back of my car. it reminded me of aftermarket fuel pumps (the ones you can here from outside the car) .. Im still on my OE fuel pump. Is this somthing i should be conserned about? The car runs fine but im going on a big cruise next weekend and i dont want to get stranded lol Any input on this would be great thanks!!

Your fuel pump may be getting ready to quit. Try reading it. Also check your fuel filter. Good luck buddy! EDIT How much fuel do you drive with normally? Lower amounts can kill a pump. The gas cools it off actually, so always try to remain above 1/2 a tank.

^^ I usually have ATLEAST 1/4 tank and when i do get low on gas i fill it up all the way..
You think my fuel pressure might be lower than normal? THats what im going to check out tomorrow, ill try and check the filter too..
THe funny thing is when i steer left or right when im turning, the pump shuts up for a bit. then starts being loud again... ****......
