Faulty headlight motors??
Hello, my trans am seems to have an issue with headlights. Everytime i turn OFF my headlights, they seem to make a loud grinding noise once fully down, which is very annoying
It seems that they are still working once they flip down.
Would i have to replace whole headlight motors, or just the gear? Im clueless lol
thanks

If you take the headlight motor apart you will more than likely find that the gear that moves the headlight up and down is striped....if it is take the gear out of the housing and turn it 180 degrees and that will fix your problem. If the gear has already been turned 180 then its time to get the brass gear that someone sells

search 98-02 free headlight gear fix. you'll find full write up plus venue for brass gears. free fix just pop linkage off and manually turn shaft 180 then reattach linkage. if you remove the gear replace it with brass-don't waste your time by putting the plastic back in.
