Exclamation Alternator problems Please Help!!!!!

just purchased a 2001 camaro ss slp editon 70,000 miles lights are pulsating in dash so figured out it was my alternator. would the alternator problem cause my oil gauge needle to move back and fourth and make it idle rough? please help its my DD and i would like to get this problem fixed thanks.

the computer needs so many volts to works.......if it dont.........could make it go wonky

Thanks this helped out alot i kinda of figured the alternator could make everything go bonkers.

Also check the tension on the belt. If the belt is bad, the alternator won't do its thing.
