Oil Sending Unit is probably on its way out.

Gotta remove the intake to change it. They sell a socket that fits it. They break easier than a Ritz cracker. Be careful. And when you put the intake back on...don't even so much as bump into the new sending unit. Its about a 3 inch long black tube that screws into the block right behind the intake. You can reach back there and feel it. Its on the drivers side, behind the intake.

No problem at all. You just won't have an accurate pressure reading or warning of oil pump failure. But you can drive without all you want.

Takes about 30 minutes to get the intake off. Same to get it back on. If you've done it before. If not....fuel lines can be a pain in the *** and other little tricks to doing the job.
Come on back when you're ready, people here will tell ya how to do it.
