Default Steering wheel off center

Oddest thing ever.... My steering wheel seems to be off center by 5-10 degrees. If i let go of the steering wheel it comes to rest at 5-10 degrees, but the car drives straight... so just to check I measure for toe in/out, and I have the same measurement from the front and the rear of the front tires, so Im pretty sure the alignment is Ok.

I checked the rear end to make sure everything was good back there, and the geometery is the same as stock....i wanted to make sure my car wasnt dog walking or anything like that.....

I just had my SFC's welded in today, and everything was done correctly... I cant imagine why the steering wheel would be off center.

Is there a way that I can recenter the steering wheel?

X2... I've read through at least 15 threads today, and NOBODY has posted a fix.

A hundred years ago when I aligned cars we would mark tie rod ends with touch up paint when finished afterwards we would test drive them to see where the steering wheel was positioned. If it was off like yours we would loosen tie rods on each side and turn them both 1/4 turn up. Road test again and see if that corrected the problem. If it made it worse go back to original position and turn them down 1/4. I hope you get the idea, always adjust them the same amount and the same direction and your total toe will not change just your steering wheel position. Sometimes and 1/4 turn is too much and you will need to go 1/8 turn.

Good luck, Chris
