Default is my starter going?

ok this isnt in my ls1, this is in my beater 98 neon 2.0 DOHC. has 144,000 miles.

so i go outside this morning after all this rain, and i go to start my neon and it just cranks real slow like its a dead battery......doesnt tick tho just sits there and spins slow......so slow that it doesnt crank the motor fast enough to start........stop turning it and try again......same thing.......try again and it spins slow still, but starts to sputter a little than starts up........ checked my battery cables and were tight.....grabbed some jumper cables out of the garage and left......drive ten minutes, shut it off, then go to start and same thing happens....eventually starts......drive five minutes, shut it off, then try to start and it starts up just fine.......drive around and every 4-5 times after that i had an issue starting it....always spun slow, 1 of those times tho it spun a little faster but still not 100%......with motor off, my headlights are all fully bright, radio/horn work just fine so im positive it shouldnt be battery related......tell me what you think ls1tech.

order it from advance auto, use coupon codes you find online and give em old starter.

Just did this the past weekend.

these may still work:
Advance Auto discount code
$15 BIG5 - ($5 off $15 or more) 33%
$50 A123 - ($20 off $50 or more) 40%
$75 BIG30 - ($30 off orders over $75) 40%
$200 BIG50 - ($50 off orders over $200) 25%

and $25 off a $60 purchase = DOTD826
and $30 off a $100 purchase = DOTD819
