I'm driving on the freeway and I notice that my oil pressure drops and my car begins to bog down. Th accelorator does not respond and I get off the freeway. When I come to a complete stop, the car wants to shut off. I turn off the car and check oil level. Its fine. I turn the car back on and its fine until I turn on the AC. It makes a really loud vacuum sound like its sucking air and the car dies. It does the same thing if I try to turn on the heater. Any insight on what this may be? I'm wondering if I need to replace the compressor. The AC was blowing cold air... this just happened from one minute to the next.

Before this happened... the compressor would kick in and out. When it would kick in... it would make a whinning sound then shut off and blow hot air. Then turn back on its own and resume blowing cold air.
