ac and heat only blows out defrost vent now

Why is my ac and heat only blowing out the defrost vent now? when i turn the **** it doesnt switch vents

any clues or hints to this? someone told me i may need a new ac control unit

sounds like the vaccuum lines came off. pull out the control unit and make sure everything is hooked up. It defaults to defrost for saftey reasons so you can see out your windshiled.

I concur... Vacuum would be my 1st check.
