Default Wtf?

So I have a hard start problem were it takes a long time to start up and I thought I fixed it when I cleaned the MAF, but that didn't work. So I went to start it today and I noticed that the RPM needle was climbing between cranking, and that it wouldn't start until it got to zero(it starts below zero with key on). What could cause this? And why won't it start until it hits zero?

Btw, fuel pressure is good, pump and filter are new. Same with plugs and wires.

Anyone know of a fuse/relay/wire that could be causing a discontinuity or bad voltage or something like that?

It's not dead, i replaced it 4 weeks ago when it really died. All the electricals work(windows, radio, etc), and the starter cranks fine, it just won't start until the rpm gauge hits zero. The problem existed before my battery died too.

What's the measured voltage on your battery when the car is off and when its on? Maybe it isn't getting charged properly?
