Default who thinks there should be a LS1Tech repair book

my haynes manual is terrible......everytime i go to work on my z28 with thisbook,i always need to refer to the ls1tech to assist me.......i think an ls1tech how to book for 93-12 camaros, c4-c6 vettes, and possibly goats, since they are the most commonly modified ls powered vehicles......id pay 20-30 bucks for one.........it would be nice to have a book with all the little tips and tricks to modifying our cars......plus with all the stickies in it......what do you guys think? all proceeds would go to ls1tech

how nice would it be....i mean it would save tons ofheadaches.......like when i was taking my alternator out, haynes said remove these bolts, unplug connector, disconnect positive cable......remove.......said nothing about removing the alternator cover to show the 15mm nut behind the 13mm, and also said nothing about needing to bangit with a mallet to loosen the sob up..........like a book with those types of tricks would be awesome

.....I thought that's what ls1tech was for? Why do we need it in a book also? Waste of paper?

Ummmm.... this already exists. Just get the GM F-Body Factory Service Manual. They are expensive but worth every dime. The one for my 1999 is three volumes and stacks up to the size of 2 sets of yellow pages. They have full electrical schematics, procedures to replace every part on the car, exploded diagrams, etc.

This is the same manual that GM makes available to dealers' repair departments. (There's also an order form in the back of your owners manual, but the ordering information is way outdated. Things are also a lot more expensive these days.)

You can get new ones by going to Helm: http://www.helminc.com/helm/welcome_...asp?Style=helm or you might be able to find a deal on a used set via eBay.

The GM Owners Manual to the Haynes book is like comparing "War and Peace" to "The Three Little Pigs"
