Default Best service manual for DIY work?

Hey all,

I'd like to pick up a really thorough, accurate GM service manual to allow me to work on my new 2001 TA WS6 convertible for miscellaneous maintenance and break/fix issues. I've seen a heck of a lot of choices, and am not really sure where to start.

Can you guys please help guide me toward the right product?

Thanks in advance!
B

http://www.tradebit.com/filedetail.p...-repair-manual

Downloaded this last night to do some work on my 00 T/A today. It's is the GM Repair Manual. Only $10.95.

Good Luck

There's no substitute for the shop manuals. You can pick them up for relatively cheap if you look long enough...

This is not the GM Repair Manual. There is only one of those and its produced by Helm. (See above.) This is an aftermarket version, just like Haynes.

Totally agree. Haynes and Chilton aren't bad - but you would need to combine them to have what the OEM manual has. And even still there would be things missing. I am blessed to work a GM dealer and have access to SI which is a HUGE help.

Looks like civilians can get the SI information here: http://www.acdelcotechconnect.com/html/tss_tech_esi.jsp

There's over 1000 pages when you get into it. Much more the the Chilton and Haynes books have. I didn't believe it when I saw it either. However for $10.95 it was much more helpful than the other two.
