Default Need Hood Stops, GMpart number? any info....

Both cars need new hood stops and autozone and the local idiots can not order them so im looking for a part number for GMpartsdirect or anyone who makes after market ones....

To clear up any confusion im talking about the plastic/rubber cylinders that the hood hits in the engine bay, you screw them up or down to adjust the height of the hood...

any help here would be good, ive done a search

Its a body part. Your only hope is with the Dorman/Help hardware at the parts store (I don't believe they carry these, though.) or to go to the dealer.

Have you tried a dealer to get the bumper? If its discontinued, you may/should be able to get one from Classic Industries.

Why do you need a part number....just got to the dealer and get them. They are cheap as hell, I think I rolled in there one day and they had a ton of them in stock. I think two were like 5 bucks.

I figured the dealer would rape us for them as usual, but if thats the case i will check that out"

BTW the first part number in that thread 10413888 is correct for part of the piece, there 2nd one 10157703 provided in response is wrong

gmpartsdirect.com will give you a good price. On small items, going to a local dealer may be less than the shipping. (Its also faster.)

You may also try different GM dealers in different parts of town and price shop them. (In Chicago, some dealers mark parts up 2X others depending on their physical location.) You can look at the list price at gmpartsdirect and quickly figure out how a dealer is doing their markups.
