Default My gauges!!

My gauges only work when I step on the clutch and all the lights turn on but when i let go of the clutch all the lights turn off and my gauges just shut down. Anyone know whats goin on???

The 1999 model year cars were known to have gauge cluster failures - sounds like this might be the case with yours. I'm not sure what the problem is with them, but people almost always end up having to replace the entire cluster to fix it.

The only thing electrical involved when you press the clutch is that the clutch pedal switch is activated. If you take the lower IP panel off, you can look up behind the dash and see it.

I'd unplug the switch and see what happens...

Just thought about this - You may need to jump the connector to start the car, depending if the pedal closes or opens the switch.

Thanks. I'll remove that switch and see what the heck is goin on. i dont have the funds to replace the cluster right now.
