Default '99 Z28 M6 - O2 Sensors

Are the O2 sensors identical for both the drivers side and passengers side, as well as before and after the cats? The ones that I've found online say that I can use the same sensor either before or after the cat, and some say that they are for the passenger side, but none mention the drivers side.

Additionally, would I notice a drop in gas mileage due to a worn out sensor? Or would I see a code thrown first?

Thanks

Bill

You would see an mpg drop with no o2 sensors (I would know because I haven't had front o2 sensors for two months) as well as a drop in performance definitely... I didn't realize something was wrong until a few codes were thrown. Under my normal 28 mile round trip commute going easy I managed to do about 17 mpg (lots of cruise control I might add). O2 sensors should be interchangeable no matter what location, currently just put Densos in the front and using the Bosch 13111s that I bought for the front in the rear o2 ports.
