Default did all fbodies come with the PS cooler?

i was reading the long thread where the PS cooler would mix with coolant and the remedy for that is getting the small aftermarket PS oil cooler instead. i just got underneath the car and noticed the 2 rubber hoses lines coming from the pump and reservoir converts to think steel fittings and goes into the bottom where the steering linkage is?
some info, the car was originally a v6 with ls1 motor/trans swap. so is the power steering on the v6 never came with a ps cooler from factory?

From what I understand it came standard on SS's and WS6's in '98, then it became an option on F-Bodies other than WS6's and SS's in 99-01, then all the LS1 F-Bodies came standard with them in '02. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I do recall reading that some time ago on here.

Close. The stock cooler became standard by 2000: http://www.gmhightechperformance.com...all/index.html
