Default High mileage flush?

Whats up guys, just looking for opinions on what yall would do. Got to 98 Z28 with 197k on it and there is lots of sludge built up in the motor. I got the car when it had 168kto on it and the previous owner was using gtx 10-40 with lucas and i immediately switched to gtx 20-50. Motor still runs fine, i get valvetrain noise sometimes but i hold it at wot through first and second and the noise goes away.

Flush it with motor flush. I use GUNK brand at every oil change. Drain all the old oil out, then pour 4 qrts of new cheap oil in. Then pour a full can of flush in and let it idle ONLY for about 15 minutes. NO REVS.

Then drain it out. Then pour 4 qrts of new cheap oil in again and run it for 5 minutes so you get all the flush chemical out.

Then put a new filter on and new good oil.

Sounds logical. I was thinking about the transmission fluid thing but was hesitant on it.

No, it doesn't do as good a job as the GUNK chemical.

The Gunk stuff works. I've used it on all of my cars, and have been happy with the results.
