Question Exhaust band clamps suck!!
Any suggestions on how to get the band clamps from leaking so bad. Any ideas or links describing fixes? On an 02 ws6 pace setter long tubes and 3"off road y pipe.

Did you try a few layers of aluminum foil around the two pipes before putting on the clamp?

No i sure didnt. Heard that itd cause pipes to rust out. Any truth to this?

Never heard it would increase rusting and don't see why it would. They are dissimilar metals but aluminum is pretty non reactive

I use that copper gasket stuff from the auto store. Put a bead in the middle of the clamp then put it back on. Mine are all sealed now.

Thats whst i was thinking about tryin was exhaust sealant i have a tube of
