Hi all,

So long story cut short I was out cruising the other week and my power steering hose broke leaving my power steering pump to crap itself and start leaking. Replaced the pump, but in the process looks like I messed the pulley up (yay plastic pulleys )

It works, but wobbles a bit and I just don't trust it. So I said "Hey let me just order one".

Every parts place I check online only has the 6 cyl one but nothing listed for the 8. Went to the local parts store I usually go to for hard to get items and they said that they cannot find it listed with an aftermarket part, just the original but that's not available.


I'd hate to have to junkyard it but apparently finding a power steering pump pulley for a 5.7 99 Firebird trans am is impossible.

Anyone had to go through this hell before and found it on a site someplace?

Definitely need it as my belt is starting to get torn up heh.

Took the beast out of the garage today to do some work in the garage but it sounded like a nightmare

Just looked, eBay has them 48$ shipped. Where did you buy your pump?

Local parts chain (Parts Authority). Thought they'd have the pulley no problem either but no joy.

I'll check ebay. Thanks! I was really surprised there was none at the store.

Turn one makes a great aftermarket pulley.
