Are both the power window motors for a 2002 Trans Am the same, passenger side works for drivers side if it came off another car?

get used to replacing these. I'm on my 6th replacement motor... it is a lot of work. I would not install a used motor on my car.... not worth it.

Have you tried cleaning the motor out and soldering a wire in place of the thermal strip? My window has been great ever since. Quicker too.

Can't imagine how it would. It does not give the motor super strength or anything. If a track breaks after doing it then it would have broken putting a new motor in it so it was on its last leg anyways.

Buy two new motors from some local place that stocks them, and have a lifetime warranty.

Install the motors, and be ready to do it again every other year.

Im doing my again in the spring.

There are places that make a kit that "fixes" the wiring problem, that would be a root cause fix.
