My 2000 ls1 caprice (australian holden) is jerking when I stop at a stoplight. While on the road it runs fine. Just jerks at the stoplight. The car jerks from behind. Its not vibration but like a pulsing feeling. The exhaust also gets very very hot and sounds phut phut phut. I do not have a CAT as its not required here. I have two intermediate mufflers in the middle and one muffler at the tailpipe. I took it to a muffler shop and he said that they are weak and need replacing. Can bad/clogged mufflers cause this?
