Default Alternative methods for Throttle Cable

Hey everyone,

Recently my throttle tabs broke and I had to order another one off ebay.
It actually took me a while to find one and you guys may have seen my threads showing it was discontinued and all that.

I'm basically looking to see if anyone has an alternative method, like using the universal cables out there while retaining Traction Control & Cruise Control.

Has anyone done anything like this? Eventually there won't be any of these cables left and it would be nice to have a guide or list of how to do it.

Thanks everyone!

Did the actual wire break or did the ferrule just come off the end? It should be easy enough to put a new ferrule on. I'd also think that any outfit that makes/services/rebuilds motorcycle cables should be able to repair these, no problem.

Oh well the cable itself is actually fine, its the little mounting tabs that have broken cuz they are plastic.. I'll snap a pic in a little bit and see if that helps.

These are the tabs that stick on the bracket.
