one old school way to check which pully/pump is doing it is take a long socket extension and hold one end with a fist and touch the other end to the accessory (non moving area) you want to check and put your ear up to your fist. with the engine running the sound should travel up the metal. Do this at your own risk!

I'm also having an impossible time tracking down the same type of noise, but so far have eliminated the ; p.s. pump/pulley (new Turn One unit), A/C (disconnected the belt), idler and tensioner pullies (all new AND repacked), water pump (Evans with NO play or weeping), and the NEW, not remanufactured, Delphi alternator is very recent as well.
So that leaves; crank pulley/balancer, timing set, and oil pump, ALL of which will be replaced soon along with new drive belts of course.
I HOPE that does the trick!
