Mine started doing that when I had to replace a broken OPSU during my cam swap last sept. Then again, I also replaced the oil pump at the same time so I am not sure which is to blame for mine doing it.

Im guessing you dont have the issue anymore?

Iv read many posts on here that have the same issue. They replaced the OPSU and it did not fix the bouncy needle.

Nope, it's still happening. Started doing it about a week or so after my cam swap. Not sure what exactly caused it but as long as my pressure is staying at a normal level I am not going to worry too much about it. I mostly see it at idle, when at highway speeds it stays decently steady.

I've seen my '02 do that on several occasions, from what I remember it only happens when it's hot out and I'm idling in gear at a stop light after driving for a while. Seems like it's done that for all the years and 10s of thousands of miles I've owned it. Stock/original sending unit and pump. I don't worry about it.

Yeah, I have seen mines do this a few times before. Only when it's at full operating temp and it's usually pretty hot outside, just at idle however.

It was at idle for about an hour so yep it was at full temp. Wasnt hot out though. 30s here in CT. Also im pretty sure I saw the gauge doing this while driving too.

Well seems pretty common so I guess theres nothing to worry about. Cool.

Looks normal to me. If the fluctuations get wilder, then its probably just your OPSU going out. If you get there and need to replace it, you'll want to do so with an official GM part.

I had to replace mine recently, made a mistake with an off-brand part, and came back to the GM unit. My car now looks like the video you posted. (Just small fluctuations.)

its staying in a safe range and not moving that much.

as long as theres no engine noise its probably no big deal.
