Default 99 Z28 - Fuel Pressure Release

I want to change the fuel filter on my '99 Z28. Per my Haynes manual, I have to release the fuel pressure via the Shrader valve on the fuel rail.

So can I just put a rag under the valve and use a screwdriver to depress the valve to bleed off the pressure?

I see two ports in the fuel system.

Which one do I use to bleed off fuel pressure?

Thanks

Bill

Screw off the black cap, put some rags under it and press the valve.

Got it done. The hardest part was unclipping the bracket that fits around the filter. JB - it was pretty easy to bleed the pressure off. Thanks again!
