Default Fuel Inj cleaning in Pics

Those bottles of fuel injection cleaner that cost from 2.99 to 20.99 only do sooooo much !!!!
Best to clean your injectors like a pro ................follow along



can of 3M inj cleaner PN 08956 and 3M FI cleaner hose PN 08917

switch the valve on and start the car......hold can upside down with the engine at idle......hold it til the can is empty.....about 5 min

Sweet.......easy and straight forward.

But how does it idle with the fuel pump fuse pulled out? Or did you just not mention to pop it back in after the bottle is ready to discharge into the rail....?

I think I'll give this a try....easy and cheap.

you pull the fuel pump fuse so the fuel pump will not operate while the cleaning process is occurring.........the FI cleaner contains fuel to run the car at an idle speed as well as the concentrated cleaners.......when done with the cleaning replace the fuse so the pump will operate normally

update.......apparently 3M has changed this hose since i bought it.....mine is a 1 piece hose and now it is 2 separate pieces.....hose 8838 with the angled end adapter 8917

The cleaner is pretty cheap but I'm seeing the hose for $90 at the low end and. Was this worth it in your opinion? How many miles are on your T/A?

i have seen the hose for cheaper....and i bought mine at NAPA for 40$.........if you figure you pay 100$ to have a shop do this.......how much did you save?

and after a cleaning you sure DO feel a difference.......i use the pour in the tank cleaners all the time and they do not compare to this
