Default Advice needed on repairing striped threads

So I go to replace my starter and sure enough one of the holes is striped.

Do I need to drill our can I just retap the hole with a slightly bigger tap?

Any one know what size to use?

Anything else I might be missing?

You can use a helicoil.

There is a system called Lock N Stitch

http://www.locknstitch.com/

It replaces the threads makes it stroger than stock.

Contact them to see if there is anyone in your area that does this.

Good Luck

Drill the hole out, tap it, then use a helicoil for the stock bolt thread. You can find tons of info on how to do a helicoil with a quick Google search.
