Default Giving the car gas at startup ..HELP

So my brother just got an 06 gto and he has to give it gas for about 5 seconds when you start it up or else it'll die. But after those 5 seconds it drives perfect. If you let it die then you have to wait like 2 minutes before starting it again. In the meantime in those 2 minutes the car won't even turn over...

Man, it can be so many things. IAC valve. Old be wracked. TPS can have a worn spot in it causing the IAC to be wracked. MAF could be dirty as hell......hope you don't have a K&N air filter in there. Maybe a badly leaking fuel injector(s). PCM could be failing causing the AC to be wracked.
