my drivers door mirror is driving me crazy the mirror glass shakes and vibrates all the time its a power mirror if a give the adjustment switch a quick tap it will slow it down for a little while but always go's right back to shaking
its DRIVING ME CRAZY! the housing looks fine no damage and its solid only the glass mirror it self is shaking at night it a waist of time to use.....any one know of a fix? before i buy a new mirror like to try and fix this one

Maybe you are having this problem: https://ls1tech.com/forums/pontiac-f...e-mirrors.html
There is a cheap pot metal bracket that holds the mirror to the door. Evidently it has a tendency to fatigue crack over time and leave the mirror to flop around in the wind.

Anyone know how to get the cross to snap in to the mirror housing motor? None of my components are broken(yet), but the cross won't snap in. It looks like the glass might have been put on after the cross was snapped in when it was originally built.
