Someone Torqued THE LIVING HELL out of my oil plug.
I was having a nice day.
Going to do my first oil change on my LS1...
Bought all the oil, Lifted the car.
Got my 15mm wrench which fit snug on there.
pushed and pushed so damn hard, WONT COME OFF.
Pushed some more until it stripped.
Honestly who the F@&#! summons the power of Satan to fuse a bolt completely so it can never be removed??!!!!!!!!!!
Now my whole day is ruined, and I'm pissed the hell off. Oil change is long overdue for my Trans Am.

How did you strip the head of the bolt? Go buy a good quality 15mm wrench Or use a large jaw plyers or small pipe wrench to remove the bolt. Be sure you are turning it in the proper direction.

Ya I've had that happen to me when I first did my oil change on the TA ended up taking it to a little shop and they used a pipe wrench to get it off. But they put it on a lift.

Yup......pipe wrench is awesome.
Or tap a 14mm socket on there with a hammer, then ratchet it off. But don't smack it too crazy hard....you don't want to crack the oil pan......
I don't know when people will learn that these bolts only need to be hand tight....then a little tiny snug with a ratchet.

Not sure how but it is a good quality wrench and it fit perfectly on the bolt. I twisted it counter-clockwise from the head of the bolt. It didn't budge. I literally used all my weight on it until it gave but only the bolt got stripped.

If you were using a 12 pt socket I can see how that would be easy to do with it being on too tight. Also something that I like to keep around for stripped bolt heads is an extractor set. They work like easy outs for screws and will bite hard into any stripped bolt head and pull it loose. I picked my set up at HFT for pretty cheap.

I had the same exact problem a while back, so I got me a set of these and it came right off.
