I have a 99 trans am. I was out the other night and i went to hit my brakes and i heard a knocking ticking noise. The brakes also squealed a little bit. I parked the car then when i put it in reverse the car was really hard to move back. Felt like brake was locking up and when i did try to move there was a loud popping noise. Any ideas what this is?

Possibly brakes, pull off the wheels and take a look. Check the rear brakes also, parking brake might have jammed up.

the sound is all coming from the front, Possibly broken pads wedged in there?
