Default Squeak after spring/shock install

I changed my shocks and springs a couple months back and since the first drive there's been a little squeaking noise that you can hear while driving. The sound is constant and doesn't just happen when I go over a speed bump or whatever. Sounds like it's coming from the rear on the driver's side and I'm thinking it's coming from the area where the shock comes in through under the carpet :confused. I have some time right now so might go ahead and spray some WD-40 in that area to start. Any suggestions or experience with the same squeak??? Thanks in advance for any help
