Default Is this normal? *Pics* Driveshaft

If you look at the pic, the shaft is not even. The gap is tighter on some parts and wider apart as your turn. Doesn't look normal to me. On top of the fact it is leaking like crazy down there but can't tell from where. I am assuming the pinion seal since the diff cover is clean and the torque arm is drenched in relatively fresh oil.

well, the rear is whining but that is to the seller's home job on the gears. But I did have a hard time banging 3rd often. Occasionally I would feel clunking as if the driveshaft was two pieces like the mustang ones. It is a new car to me so I am not sure what is normal and what isn't.

take it to a good shop so u don't get a whine from improper reinstallation.. the seal is like $15 and labor should be about 1.5 hrs

I'm sure the pinion seal is the leak, but the shaft being off center/crooked like that is normal instead of flush?

is there play in the pinoin? maybe nut is loose?

True but you won't know if The nut is the actual problem or if he needs to replace the steel & then tighten the nut possibly even shim a little

Its the dust cover for the seal. which is part of the seal. Get the new updated Yoke with the Triple Lip Seal.
