Default Oil filter problems

Hey guys I'm trying to get a damn oil filter on my engine and for some reason it wont thread on! I have tried a PF46 AND a PF46E and no such luck. Has anyone ever had this happen to them?

This has happened to me before. I was reaching with the car on a ramp and wasn't getting it straight. You just got to get your face in there to see what's up.

The threaded coupling that the filter screws in to may come of of the engine block. Just put your fingers on the threaded portion and turn left. If that thing unscrews for you, you can play with it and the filter away from the car.

Does the engine have the original oil pan? Newer oil pans use the same filter a 2010 Camaro SS does. Ac Delco PF48 or Wix 57060

The brand new pan has the updated thread pitch.. It will be a PF48.

ps PF46 and PF46E are the exact same filter just packaged differently.
