Default Coolent Color

So, I randomly check my coolent today (It hasnt been flushed in a looong time) and this is what I see

Is this normal for unchanged coolent over the years or is there something else going on here?

Thats what old dexcool looks like. It would be a good idea to flush that out and put fresh coolant in.

Remove the factory power steering cooler while you're at it. Otherwise, that new, orange coolant will eventually end up looking like chocolate milk. Tons of threads on this -- just search "power steering cooler"

I've never had a problem with Dexcool in 15 years of owning my WS6.

But when I get home in 7 weeks I'm flushing the system and going with GREEN coolant. My friend did his and I waited to see if his temps actually dropped over the summer months and his engine sure does run cooler overall.....all the time. I've got an iron block now and I can use the extra cooling help from the GREEN stuff.

.
