Default Were Denso Spark Plugs OE in many F-bodies??

Approaching the 40,000 miles mark in my T/A I decided to replace the original spark plugs. My mechanic gave me the 8 original plugs to show me the condition but I was most surprised to see Denso as the original plugs. Were these commonly used as the original equipment spark plugs?
I went with the AC Delco 41-110 plugs now. They were pricey ($8.80 each) but worth it to me.

Yep my 01 TA came with them they are very good plugs and get this tested to go 200k miles....Much better than the delco factory plugs.

All of mine came with Denso, from '98-'02.

I used to change them early as well. Then I finally let an assembly line set go for the factory recommended 100k miles (on my '02), and they came out looking great - shockingly nice actually. Now I won't ever bother changing a factory set on a *stock* engine until 100k, as per GM recommendation.

Denso actually tested these plugs to 200k, Mine have 68k on them and I'm leaving them in until it starts to misfire. See how long they last.

It is either Denso or NGK which actually produces the AC Delco branded Iridiums for them.

Mine were Denso's too in both 01 & 02 Z28's. I through them out so I don't have part number.... anyone have it?? I think I will put them back in next go round

I save everything. There sure are a lot of numbers on these original Denso plugs. Next to the word Denso is #PTJ16R15. Underneath the word Denso is #12563707.
Why would you go back though? My mechanic showed me a TSB that shows this AC/Delco should be used, and with a smaller gap. There were technical reasons why, but that went over my head (I'm no mechanic).

Look at this link too. RPM WS6 is the 3rd post down and that's exactly what my mechanic did for my T/A. It does run great.

Reason I would go back is my former Z28 went 103,000 miles on the original denso's & they performed great (never a miss) & looked perfect when I pulled them. would be nice to get another 103,000 out of a set of plugs.
