Default High Pitch Whistle

I have an interesting issue coming up in my 02 SS. It doesn't happen every time, but a high pitch whistle noise has developed in the engine bay somewhere. The weird thing is that it will go away if I turn the AC on and as soon as I turn it off, it comes back. Also, it appears to go away after throttle is applied, but that could be because it's too loud to hear it haha. Anyone have any ideas?

Does it go away after a bit? Maybe it's AIR pump.

Yes, the A.I.R. pump will make this noise, and there seems to be NO rhyme or reason as to exactly when it decides to turn on and off (in MY car at least).

I know that most on here have LONG gotten rid of this AND their EGR systems.

I'm going to pull the air pump fuse and see if that corrects the noise. If not, what else could it be?

Isnt there a small hard plastic vacume line that uses manifold vacume to operate the A/C doors? You might see if its ok and not leaking a little bit.

This runs from the back of the intake manifold and down behind the passenger side strut tower.

I used to get that weird high pitched noise sometimes. Maybe a slight air leak through one of the air pump check valves, when the pump's not running? I don't think I've ever gotten the noise since I replaced both valves maybe 5 years ago.
