Default Power steering leak

For whatever reason this AM the power steering RETURN hose cracked on my 02 TA.....and apparently its hard to replace and nobody keeps it in stock so when i go look under the V8 vers to search for parts on rock auto for example it wasnt listed but if I go under the v6 model of the firebird its their and looks identical. My question is can i use the v6 model hose on the v8 is their any difference in the rack an pinion between the 2 models? ...and for those who dont know which hose im talking abt it the one that sits a lil further back on the rack and goes to the inner cooler

This might work but the line broke at in the metal section not in the rubber side and the thread is 3/8 OD i even went to home depot and everything i found wont fit because theirs no room and the fitings dont go all the way in because the original fitting is like a gradual to 3/8 OD

Wow. You may try looking at a V6 hose. I recall in another thread Demonspeed said that it works fine.
I replaced mine a few years back and had to go through a dealer and wait for the part to come in.

Oreillys tried to do that crap last night to me 5-7 days i had a 400amp ohio gen alt and a ofc 0gage positive wire and idk if the line flexed because it was cold from first start or what but the line must of touched the positive post an arced and it punched a hole in the line like right next to the fitting and dumped all my ps fluid everywhere for like 3 city blocks......i dont see why they have to special order ...the other line seems like its more complex with both fitted ends .....but this line should be an easy fix

I did not actually try it; however, IIRC, I believe I posted a link to a thread where someone had success with it.
