Ign Key Cylinder won't release the key
My 95 TA the ign key won't return to lock unless I push the release button. Getting ready to work on the column today and wanted to ask what to do to this cylinder.
I've had it out before and carefully tried to figure out why it didn't work but couldnt' figure it out and ran outta time.
Thanks a lot

This could be the problem. The key could be so worn that it doesn't hit the internals quite right.
If you go to a dealer, they should be able to look up your original key code (for a fee) and punch you a new perfect one.
Even if that doesn't turn out to solve the issue, it's still good to have one. Never use the good key and make cheap copies off of it and wear those out.

Are you sure it's not doing whst it's suppose to? On a stick car it has the ignition switch release button where as a auto doesn't to lock you out from inadvertently turning the key to the lock position without pushing the button.
Maybe I'm just misreading your description of the issue.

That's normal. Like stated above, its to prevent the key from being accidentally being turned to the lock position while you're driving.
