Default Disable express on driver window?

Did the thermal resistor bypass, now I need to disable auto down to be on the safe side.
Ive seen many threads with mixed instructions.
Anyone actually done this that could chime in?

Why? Just hit the window up switch to stop it before it hits the bottom, that's what I do. But if you still want to, jump pin E (gray) to pin D (brown) at the express down module. Make sure you verify the correct brown wire, there's two of them.

EDIT: Even easier, just jump pin E on the driver window switch connector to the brown wire on the window motor harness.

Very easy to disable......find express down module<under dash above gas pedal in my TA.........unplug module and bend Terminal C over so it doesn't connect when you plug it back into the harness......enjoy.

1st mod all my fbodies get.

I never liked the express down. Always tried to time it right. PITA.

BTW - Best to jump the terminals and sell the express down module - they (relatively) command a small fortune because folks look to add the module to their passenger side.

While working on the motor and all I noticed the rivets have some slack. Between that and the possibility of forgetting to stop it and it ripping the stuff apart inside the door, I prefer to just disable it.

How can I tell what pin is what letter?

So I could simply remove the connector, use a paper clip to jump E and D pins, tape it up, and just take out the module?

How much do they sell for? I really could use the money or trade for other parts. Need quite a bit lol.

Thanks everyone!

Please don't do that, it's dangerous. Either cut the wires and splice them together (solder or butt connector), or use a couple inline splices and a short length of wire.

^ Yea, I would go for a cleaner method of jumping the wires. (I haven't sat down and worked out which wires to cross, etc. or anything like that because I added one to the passenger side.)

A few years ago, I recall they were going for $50-$100.

Dont worry guys, I was only using that for reference so I understand how it goes together.

I was actually thinking about an inline scotchlock.

^ Your method requires leaving the module plugged in. Mine and wssix's does not. Yours is also dangerous. You are suggesting bending down a 12v power contact where it could short to other pins. This is very bad advice for anyone regarding wiring, and bad practice. You might get away with it on 12v DC auto circuits without causing a problem, but higher voltage or AC circuits that would be a BIG no-no. Half-assed wiring is how fires start. Do it the right way.
