Hose Under Throttle Cables
I was changing my water pump out earlier and noticed this portion of hose that was separated on two sides above the water pump and under the throttle cables. I pulled the piece in the middle down so you could see in the picture what I was referencing (red region). It's basically rotted rubber on each side.
Any idea what it is? It goes back along with the fuel rail.

Looks like the PCV tubing, something that is known to fail on the LS-1 over time. The valve itself is just to the left of that open area. Judging by the worm clamps already in place, it had failed previously.

Buy an LS6 valley cover and ditch that PCV system, im doing that this weekend. Going to clean up the intake and fuel injectors while I have them out and replace the injector o rings. I bought a new LS6 valley cover from a dealership in west palm beach off ebay that came with the valley cover, gasket and new bolts. All for 88 bucks. See the link below for more information.
