Default cleaning suspension

My car started squeaking the other day and I jacked it up to spray all of the bushings with some silicone grease, but I also noticed how dirty everything was. So I was wondering if next time I wash my car can I just take a hose and some soapy water and spray all my wheel wells, springs, struts, etc. to clean them off and wipe them down or will this somehow harm anything under there?

A lot of the lubricants we spray and use in suspension components are a magnet as far as attracting dirt. So in that regard I'd get a roll of blue shop towels and get under your car when it's on ramps, or jack-stands and wipe every thing down really good, especially right after spraying lube on the bushings. Then if you still want to spray down the suspension with soapy water and rinse it, do so. It won't harm anything.

If you still have rubber bushings on the car, lubricating them will not help as they do not rotate like a poly bushing. They move on the bonded rubber so all of the movement is absorbed into the material, not on a rotating surface that needs lubrication
